PhilosophyWe each have core beliefs about the world that we work from. Here I lay out some of my philosophy. |

Life JourneyLife Journey. We are each on a journey through life. We each have different ways of going about our different journeys. We are inherently curious about our own journey. This is the story of your life. Stories are fascinating. Your story is fascinating. How do you choose your story? CreativityWe are all creative. We express it in our own unique way. Each of us has the creative ability to generate a new approach to what life offers. And creating rewards us as we navigate the unfamiliar. Creativity sparks brain tickles. Creativity comes from questioning. There are no stupid questions when curiosity and creativity are present. ChangeChange asks us to be creative. Change asks us to make choices. A universal function of life, change offers us opportunity--to challenge ourselves, create new options, and make discoveries. Change is an inherent part of the story of our lives. AttentionWe have a limited amount of attention. Where we choose to place our intention influences what we perceive, how we act, and what results we get. Energy flows where attention goes. What worksSuccess is “the way that works.” Failure is the process by which you learn what doesn't work so you can better know what can work. Success without the experience of failure is simply an accident. Edison, Lincoln , Trump. Great people succeed by learning from failures. In fact, failure is a great source of strength. Through it we expand our sense of what we can achieve. Success should only and always be on your own terms, otherwise its just hype. FaithWe all make assumptions about the world and other people. We have to. We can't process everything. We can't account for everything. Choosing where to take a leap of faith –in ourselves, in others, in the world– releases us from mundane worries and allows us to soar. MeaningWe humans value meaning. We attribute meaning. And we have choice about meaning. Meaning is subjective. Meaning is the story we tell from our own perspective about an event. Not the event itself. We have no direct access to the event. Only the story. ResponsibilityWe choose, from the options we see before us, how we want to be in the world. And that choice, that free will, implies that we are responsible for how we are in the world. FlexibilityThe element in a system with the most flexibility is the one with the most choice. The one with the most choice is the one with the most control. This is a mental martial art. ImprovementWith choice about change, meaning, faith, and where you place your attention, you can improve how you are in the world. You can take responsibility for what you are and what you want, and create the story of your life. You can hone your creative skills, focus your attention, alter the meaning of your experience, and expand your faith in yourself and others. It is up to you. You are already doing it. How do you want to change? Spinorb — where I help you create your world your way. |
